How to Fit Bowling Shoes

When you begin your search for the best fitting bowling shoe there are a few tips to help ensure you do find the shoe that fits the best.

The best way in which to do this is to measure the width and length of both feet. You do not want a shoe that is too tight or one that is too loose. Shoes that do not fit properly can throw off your balance thus causing a bad effect on the way in which you bowl.

You should trace your foot without shoes but wearing shoes similar to the ones you wear while bowling.

How to measure
  • With a pen and paper, trace one foot then the other. It is best to sit in the floor, bend your knee so that your foot can rest on the floor comfortably.
  • Next, using a tape measure, measure the length of both feet -  Write this down
  • Now, measure the width of both feet - Write this down
  • You should subtract 2/10 of an inch from both the length and width. This will accommodate for the space between your foot and the pencil mark.
  • With these numbers, you should be able to find the proper size bowling shoe.
