You may not even consider cleaning your bowling shoes since you only wear them probably once a week for an hour. However, dirty bowling shoes can affect your overall game. The slide strip and even the grip shoe need to be cleaned to work the way in which they were meet to work. If the sliding shoe is dirty on the bottom you may receive the type of slide you are use to having, thus your game will be off.
To clean your bowling shoes gather:
- clean cloth
- a bucket of water
How to clean:
- Wet the cloth, ring out
- use the cloth only on the bottom of the shoe and only on the dirty spots
- clean the slide strip gently and never rub
- clean the other shoe in the same manner
- Towel dry
Polishing your bowling shoes are just as important as keeping the bottoms of the shoes clean. Use a dry cloth to polish and wipe the bottom of the shoes for just a few short minutes. The polish will remove the dirt and does add with the slide.
